Tuition will be given in:
Knitting: Beginners will learn to cast on, knit, purl, increase, decrease, cast off. The intermediate class will also learn basic lace stitch and basic Aran stitches. The class is aimed at beginners, intermediates and those who are refreshing their skills.
Tutor: Stephanie Kennedy
Crochet: Complete beginners will learn simple chain stitch, double and treble crochet, increase, decrease. Intermediates will do trendy lace and squares with a twist in simple colour work. The class is aimed at beginners and those who are refreshing their skills.
Tutor: Irene Lundgaard
Wet Felting: The felting workshop is now full, but if you are interested, please e-mail irenelundgaard[@]gmail.com (remove square brackets) to go on a waiting list or for information on future courses. This course is ideal for people wishing to learn the basics of wet felting. A variety of materials will be provided and participants will learn to make cords, balls, flowers and more. For use as handles, bags, brooches. Participants may wish to bring their own beads to incorporate into their work. Please bring a large towel too.

Spin Your Own Yarn: Participants will be given a drop spindle and some fibres and create their own unique yarn which they can knit or crochet. It will also be possible to learn to spin on a spinning wheel.

The price for tuition and materials is €55.
Lunch is available in the village or you can bring your own. Tea and coffee and a selection of home baked cakes will be provided.

We need a minimum of 10 participants.
We will also be hosting a knitting and crochet group in The Tinahely Courthouse Arts Center from 3 – 5pm on the day.
All local yarn lovers are welcome. The Yarn Room will have a range of yarns, needles and patterns available for sale all day.
