I am working a lot at the moment and every so often I get ‘yarning’ too. Right now it is a very exiting crochet project that I was not ‘allowed’ to start but I got so fired up that I couldn’t contain myself. The picture is a tease, more to follow on that later.
Now, when I am not working or ‘yarning’ I read blogs and I have followed Niamh’s blog ‘Writer On The Way Home‘ for a good while. I read her lovely, well written blog about returning to Ireland after many years away. I will even be contributing to Niamh’s blog too, at some stage.
Now I just wonder if you will give Niamh’s blog a read too?…
Hi Irene, you left a comment on my blog and I couldn’t not reply. I live in Dublin and celebrate Sankt Hans/Midsummer with the Irish Scandinavian Club every year. This year’s celebration has been postponed because I was away. It’ll take place near Bray, so it’s not far from you. If you are interested in attending, let me know and I can give you more details. You can contact me by email on dorteeriksen@gmail.com.
Thanks Irene! I haven’t knitted anything for years, but Ireland definitely seems like the place to take it up! Look forward to having you guest-blogging with me 🙂
Fáilte Dot-Com, og tak with thank you very much for your very kind comment. I am aware of the Scandinavian Club being a fairly active affair, I just never joined. For some reason I never had that need to keep in touch like that.
I have held my own St John’s bonfires down here in deep South Co Wicklow. (which is the best part of 1.5 hours drive from Bray, actually) and they were a great success when the neighbour’s children were young.
I’ll send you a mail anyways, it’s always good with a Danish connection. 😉
Niamh, just Pick Up Your Needles! 😉
